Discovering Red Strawberries
In this scene Super Baby introduces Jessy to the color red with the help of some delicious strawberries. I'm excited to demonstrate the color technique I am envisioning, so I may change my format and post a sketch, then the final illustration with full and one color treatments.

Prepare for Takeoff
Here's sketch 2. Super Baby and Jessy are flying over town. I learned my technique for scanning line art while working at The New Yorker Magazine. The trick: 1200 dpi and proper threshold setting.
Color Fever
Here is the first page of the book. Super Baby visits the main character Jessy who is sick in bed with color fever.
